SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATIONS

1. Applicants must be a member of Shepherd of the Valley UMC or their parents must be members.

2. Applicants must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent.

3. Applicants must provide verification of enrollment in a college, trade or vocational school.

4. Applicants must complete and submit the application on or before the deadline.  (Applications filed electronically must be received on the date of the deadline and applications filed by mail must be post marked on or before the date of the deadline.)

5. Applications must be postmarked or received electronically no later than August 18, 2008.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES 

1. If you receive the forms electronically, you will need click on “FILE”, then “PAGE SETUP”, and set the margins at 0.5” top, 0.7 at the bottom and 1” left and right in order for the document to print properly. 

2. In addition to the application, you will need to have a copy of your latest transcript sent independently to the Church Office.

3. You will also need to get two letters of recommendation, one from a teacher and one from the person with whom you work closest in your church program, also to be sent independently to the Church Office (see attached forms).
